Using the Information You Find

" RefWorks Basics " which is tool.
1.Create your account
• Go to lrts.stcloudstate.edu/library (using an on-campus computer).
• Click on “RefWorks [Login].”
• Click on “Sign up for an Individual Account.”

2. Search for articles
• Go go lrts.stcloudstate.edu/library and in the “Library Search” box, select the “Articles and databases” tab.
• Click on the “Advanced Search” to search Academic
Search Premier, or click on the “Databases A-Z” link to
see all databases.

3.View records and add to your folder
Open records that seem pertinent to your search, and go beyond the first page of citations to be sure you don’t miss good articles.
4.Move your citations to your new folder

5.Create and save your bibliography
Open the Bibliography menu on the top toolbar.
• Select the “Output Style” (e.g. APA, MLA, Chicago).
• Select the word processing “File Type” for your
bibliography (i.e. Word).
• Select references to be included (“All References,” “My list” or “References from …”).
